Travis Barker recently completed his Master of Public Administration and accepted a position as CEO. “The job is great!” says Barker. Wayne Goodman, MIT Teacher Certification Class of April 2007, will finish the 2007/2008 school year as a third grade teacher in Wapato. Goodman recently renewed his teaching contract and completed CityU’s reading endorsement in March. Linda (Lynne) Griffith, B.S. in Business Administration Class of 2007, will participate in the University of Washington’s Executive MPA program in October. Gov. Chris Gregoire appointed Griffith to the Climate Action Transportation Implementation Working Group, an organization focused on solutions that will lower Green House Gases and Vehicle Miles Traveled. She continues to lead Pierce Transit as their Chief Executive Officer and serves as the President of the Washington State Transit Association. Says Griffith: “Life is good, but very busy. Transit professionals across the state believe we are in a ‘perfect storm’ with gas prices rising to record highs, global warming awareness increasing, and congestion in the Puget Sound worsening. My pitch to fellow City U grads is ‘try transit!’ It will save you money, improve travel time for all travelers, and who knows – help save our beautiful Pacific Northwest surroundings.”
